How to Use SELECT, LOOKUP, and FILTER Functions in Google AppSheet
In this video, we’re walking through creating a reporting dashboard for a leadership team using Google AppSheet. We focus on three key functions: SELECT, LOOKUP, and FILTER.
SELECT helps us extract specific rows based on criteria, ideal for listing tasks that meet certain conditions. LOOKUP is used to find a single value from a row that matches our conditions, such as identifying the priority project. FILTER allows us to retrieve references to rows that meet specific criteria, perfect for compiling detailed task lists.
These functions streamline data retrieval, making our dashboard dynamic and responsive. They enable the leadership to view up-to-date project statuses and team priorities efficiently.
