We’ve renamed “AppSheet Advisor” to “The Workspace Way”. Don’t worry, AppSheet is still a very big part of what we’re doing. If you’re looking for our Chrome Extension, it has MOVED HERE.

Alliance Projects

Fix what’s slowing your team down

with the tools you’re already paying for.

Google Workspace Does More Than You Might Think

When a process needs improving, the usual fix is to buy another SaaS tool. But managing your business data across 25 different tools is a challenge in itself. Google Workspace gives you building blocks to create business apps, and you can customize them to do exactly what your business needs.

Google Workspace tools: Meet, Drive, Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets and more

Really? How can you do that?

Your data lives in Google tools like Sheets, Calendar, Drive and even other SaaS tools. Just like it does today. And you can use Google’s DIY app building tools like AppSheet, AI Studio and Workspace Studio to “glue” those pieces of data together into a web app that looks and works just like a SaaS app. But designed just for you, to solve your specific problem.

My team can do this themselves?

Yes. The only tricky part is knowing what’s possible and how to apply the “glue”. That’s where Doug comes in. He works together with your team to plan and build the solution. That way they learn by doing and come away with a real understanding of how everything works.

Who are Alliance Projects for?

Good fit

  • You have manual or clunky processes that you know could work better
  • You’re in a growth or optimization stage and looking to scale your people or processes
  • You have a team, or at least team members, that have a problem-solving mindset
  • You use Google Workspace in your business, or you’re looking to move in that direction

Not a good fit

  • You just want a finished solution handed off with minimal involvement from your team
  • You’re just looking for support to fix or maintain an existing app
  • You’re looking for a quick fix, not a long-term solution
  • The problem you’re trying to solve is massively complex
  • You’re not on Google Workspace and have no plans to start using it

How Alliance Projects work

Before anything else, we’ll meet to talk about where you’re trying to go and what’s standing in the way. What would this process look like if it worked the way you want it to? What does success look like in numbers? That’s what everything else is built around.

Next, I work with your team to document the current process, identify who’s involved, and look for things that could fall through the cracks. I put together a step-by-step plan for building the solution, including what needs to be done and who’s doing what. I’ll put together a few prototypes so you and the team can get a preview of what the final solution will look like and how it will work before we build anything. I’ll walk the team through how to build their pieces and answer any initial questions they have. From there, the team builds. I stay close with regular check-ins and help through Slack/Loom/Email in between. Nothing gets finalized until it’s been signed off on by the people who will use it and the people who are paying for it.

Now we’re ready to go live, but that’s only half of it. By the time we wrap up, everyone who needs to use the app knows how, and we have a process for getting new people up to speed. Your team understands how to keep building on what they made, including the spots where things could go wrong if they’re not careful. They know what needs regular attention, how to handle it, and what to do if something stops working. And you have a way to tell whether the solution is meeting the goals we established in step one.

What you’ll have when we’re done

  • A custom web app that solves your specific problem, built on top of Google Workspace
  • A team that knows how to use it and evolve it, both now and as the team grows
  • The know-how to build your own solutions, versus buying yet another SaaS

Alliance Projects are a flat fee, starting at $5,000. The outcome we agree upon is guaranteed, so you know exactly what you’re paying and exactly what you’ll get.

Why create WITH you
instead of FOR you?

Because a team that built it can build upon it. And once they have the know-how, they start applying it across the business.

What could work better?
