There’s a better way
Our Mission
We’re here for businesses that have a nagging feeling there’s a better way than the manual spreadsheet processes they have holding things together.
To be clear, we love spreadsheets. They’re one of the best business inventions ever made, and they’ve truly stood the test of time. But they have their limits. AppSheet lets you take your spreadsheets to the next level, adding structure, automation, and real workflow on top of what you already have and understand.
But AppSheet is a blank slate, and it’s not always obvious where to start, what’s possible, or how to make it do exactly what you want. That’s where we come in. We help you answer those questions and give you the tools to get there faster, so you spend less time figuring it out and more time running your business.
About The Founder
AppSheet Advisor was created by Doug Burns, a business leader and software engineer with experience ranging from small companies to some of the biggest names in business. Most recently, Doug spent more than a decade at HBO, where he helped launch and scale HBO GO, HBO Now, and HBO Max. As Director of Software Engineering, he led large teams, guided business strategy, and oversaw systems that processed millions of dollars in transactions every day.
Soon after leaving HBO, Doug discovered AppSheet, and something immediately clicked. It was the perfect solution to problems he had seen for years: manual processes, spreadsheets stretched far beyond their limits, and “frankenstein” jumbles of off-the-shelf tools that never seemed to work quite right.
AppSheet was different. It was intuitive, and it gave the power to build directly to the people who needed it, on their own timeline. And better yet, for the millions of companies already using Google Workspace, it was available at no extra cost, avoiding yet another line item on the ever-growing SaaS budget.
That realization is what inspired Doug to create AppSheet Advisor. To help others avoid the same struggles and unlock the full potential of this powerful tool for themselves.
